‘Hands are the deeper intelligence of the heart.’ I see my hands as an expression of the wisdom I store. I work to make decisions from a felt sense of place. A maker and creator at heart, my work originates from my daily interface with the beauty and tranquillity of nature as well as with humanity. In a broad sense, I see my art as a form of communication, one that is not fully explained, leaving the viewer to draw meaning. My work is shaped by movement, texture, color and technique, using various materials. Art is where I experience a sense of wellbeing, connection and meaning. It is through art that I live most creatively and authentically. I see painting and all the art I create as a way of being in touch with and expressing a deeper beauty.
